It’s always best to book at least a month or more in advance. Our schedule usually starts to fill up two to three weeks in advance. However, there are always open slots and if you have flexibility, we can try to fit you in! Weekends and the end of the month tend to fill up the fastest.

Yes, we are bonded and insured! Any reputable moving company has to be fully insured in order to obtain a license to legally operate as a mover of household goods in the state of NC. Our license number is NCUC C-2892.  We are also proud members of the NC Movers Association.

Since we are located in Raleigh, NC, any move that happens over 35 miles outside of Raleigh is charged by weight and not by the hour. We have a license that allows us to perform moves within the state of North Carolina.

We prefer a check made out to Neighbor Moving. We will also accept cash, credit card, or Venmo. If you choose to pay by credit card or Venmo, there is a 4% processing fee added to the final total. Hence why we prefer check or cash!

The final charges will be determined upon completion of the job. We do not require a deposit or take money up front.

We’re honored that you’ve chosen to work with us for your upcoming move. The first thing we like to do is set up an in-home walk through. This allows us to get an inventory list of what needs to be moved. It’s an essential step in order for us to give you an accurate estimate of final charges. As well as a recommendation on the right number of movers.

Once you accept the estimate, we’ll lock you into our schedule and you can have confidence that your move will happen as promised! Depending on when you book, we’ll reach out about a week before your move date to check in and go over final details. The day before your move we will, again, send you a confirmation email, text, or give you a call just to give a final confirmation.

On your move date, we’ll call when we’re on the way with an exact time based on GPS!

We provide high-quality and efficient moving services. We do not pay for advertisements and rely solely on word of mouth from our previous customers. After 3 years of being in business, we are continuing to grow and scale based on our raving customers!

We also have a unique relationship with each of our movers because we hire from within the community of Neighbor to Neighbor — www.n2noutreach.org. We have known (on average) each mover for over a decade! We have all been in a relationship for a long time and are like family.  You should have confidence that whoever comes to your home is someone that we’ve known deeply for a long, long time.

Since we are a social enterprise that was launched from Neighbor to Neighbor, we are able to pay our movers a living wage and well above the industry standard. Our profits are returned to each employee through higher wages and profit-sharing opportunities at the end of the year. We also give a portion back to Neighbor to Neighbor for continued community impact.

Yes, we accept tips. We do not expect them at the end of each job, but it is a nice way to instantaneously reward the crew after a hard day’s work!
